This past week, while serving our customers, we got some special questions. We decided to answer those questions here because we believe it will help our readers on our blog. So here they are:

Can the combination of a cylinder be changed?

This question is quite usual when we need to change the cylinder of our lock due to different factors, giving you an example:

Imagine that someone tried to open our vehicle and we damaged the cylinder, it is advisable to change it for a new one, but the new cylinders already come with your key and its factory combination so, if we installed it like that, we would handle a key for the opening of the door and another to light our vehicle which is very tedious.

That’s why in Brothers Locksmith, our recommendation is, if you are going to change your cylinder due to an incident, request that you change the combination of the new cylinder to the cut of your current key since you can change the combination and with this, it is more comfortable for you.

At Brothers Locksmith, we are here to help you!

When to change the battery of your alarm control?

In more than one occasion it has happened to you that you want to open your vehicle with your alarm control and you realize that it does not work, or it does not boot the insurance of your vehicle.

Here we leave a small tip of what usually happens in this case:

Normally 60% of the failures in the control are due to damage to the battery, so our recommendation is to go to a reliable locksmith and ask him to help you check the volts of your battery, since this is the main which is why it may not be working, because it takes so long to send the signal due to lack of power.

A new battery has 3.3 volts, if your battery already has 2.8 volts it is important to change it so that it does not cause problems and you get stuck somewhere.

At Brothers Locksmith, we have a range of batteries for when you have to change, we are here to serve you!
